HI. My 1st bike was a lizard! I loved it! Mine (and every 1 i ever worked on) was a 18speed thumb shift. The parts are still available to repair it, its possible to get a 7speed block onto the back, but you’d also need to change the shifter and cable. Your looking at about £30 but will need a chain, and probably chain rings, which will soon start to add up. Its probably better to buy a newer bike, Because as im sure you’l agree, a lizard is heavy as hell! As for the noisy thing, no chance!! try e-bay!
