I want to make sure that potential riders have a fair and balanced appreciation of what to expect when we reach the Scottish Highlands

I was going to do that one but ran out of time. Top quality tune - though Billy Mackenzie is a knob.

This one’s been nagging at me all evening: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HpRoqq8-Uxs

Though you lot are probably all too old to truly appreciate it grin

No, not too old! Billy M is a knob but also dead. Songs a beut!
Not too keen on the Jocks as a nation (paranoid ad fervant antiEnglish) However, I do like the old bagpies as a Cacophonic noise.

After chatting with El Cid this morning, he commented that the hotel that Cacophony has booked everyone into (http://hotels.yell.com/wl/servlet/xmlbrochure/index.do?hotelid=113601&trkref=YLL) is described in their own literature as

“All Public and Private spaces non-smoking, Gay Friendly.”

I then Googled the details and was amazed to find this page:

I think you are all going to have an intersting weekend. Did Cacophony know this?

Clearly Gizzajob has far too much time on his hands of a Saturday afternoon when his wife is out at the theatre!

Sportive booked. Twin room at the Caledonian booked. Dont let cacophony drive. It would be good to get there in one piece.

But it would be so much fun. Full car 7 people 7 bikes at an av of 100mph! Through t he great glen you can do 135mph on the duel carriageway section and the rest of the A9 is good enough for 90 to 100

Can I just say Rover V8, 100mph, a trip north on the A1, a roundabout… correct me if Im wrong but all that remained of that incident were some tyre marks and a numberplate…

The car was in good shape. I blame the brakes and tyres for not working properly, not the poppers. No-one was hurt and it must have proved quite a spectacle for the people overtaken to see a Rover V8 3.5lt P6 at 100 not even brake line whilst going over the roundabout and exiting still in the fast lane on the otherside!! Those glory days are long past.
