Hi everyone
As some of you know, i had a fantastic time in Morzine over the summer with a company called Flow mtb. They’ve been in touch to tell me about two weeks they are running in 2007 called Dirt Girls.
Now before you chaps get all excited, this is DIRT girls, not DIRTY girls - important distinction.
Basically, they have an all-female week where a top female UK downhill champ and a female mtb guide spend the mornings teaching you how to ride properly - jumps, roots, lose terrain etc, and in the afternoon take you out on the millions of trails in the area.

Cost is £486 pp: includes breakfst, lunch and a 3 course meal with alcohol, plus afternoon tea and cake, all tuition, airport transfers, a biking t shirt and a weeks lift pass.
I can highly recommend them.
I also recommend that if anyone is interested that they don’t take their own bike with them, but spend the 50 euros a day to hire a santa cruz from them (they are the Alps Santa Cruz test centre). This way you get to ride a splendid bike, and do not destroy your own all at the same time!
See below for details

For summer 2007, dirtgirls weeks will run on 14-21st July and 18-25th August, each with a slightly different focus. July will focus on skills - perfect for dirtgirls newer to biking, nervous on anything technical, or who know they need to perfect a few skills to take their riding to the next level. August will focus on riding and getting to cover more of the amazing terrain here. There will still be some skills sessions, but these will be shorter and focus on sessioning bits of trail. This week is for dirtgirls confident on technical ground, including rocks, roots and steep sections; but who want to get the chance to ride with a pro, learn from her and meet other girls to ride with.

For both weeks the SheCycles team will be providing dirtgirls with lots of women specific gear to test. Riders will get to try out some great new kit and rate it. Girls clothing website Minx will be providing all dirtgirls with fancy minx t-shirts as well as some great Jerseys as prizes. Plus, for the first time ever there will be a Minx shop exclusive to dirtgirls in the chalet. Guests will stay in the beautiful Chalet La Musardiere with breakfast, afternoon tea and (on six nights) a three course dinner with wine or beer. A packed lunch is also provided as well as airport transfers and five days of guiding and tuition. All this for just €725 (£486).

There’s more information here http://www.flowmtb.com/biking.girlsweeks.php. You’ll also find a write up in this months Singletrack magazine and on SheCycles: http://www.shecycles.com/news/article/mps/UAN/618/V/1/SP/ - there are more entries to click on under this article. And do get in touch if you have any questions or would like to reserve a place - we already have people booked on both weeks.
