Well what a day!
Without a full team turnout ( so no chance of prizes ), Ratters didn’t wake-up!, Reggie, Ben C and myself tried to put in a good showing!
After a frought start with 600 riders muscling for position, Reg and Bruce got up into the top 20.  Ben and Bruce had puctures with cut tyres, Ben retired and Bruce used a gel wrapper to patch the cut and pulled back into the top 20, still waiting for full results on the GMBC website.
Another great course with most of the usual trails used though but instead of the usual technical forest singletrack in the West side of the forest the organisers used the North Face Trail for the final third of the course, not to everyones liking, ( I like it! Reggie dosn’t, Ben didn’t get his first taster of it!) the boardwalks apparently saw lots of crashes as riders slid of in the greasy conditions!  Lets hope they go back to some the original trails in the future!

Well done boys - sounds like a good day out for all( nearly). There must have been about 20 Marie Curie people racing last around the country last week. That’s nearly a team full.

Well done lads, see the Scott rep “Kool” Keith Murray made 8th, not bad for a roadie - he’s another skin suit fetishist.

Well if it makes you go faster wearing them fair enough, but i think its more a fetish thing really, i mean otherwise us Downhillers would be wearing them!

Sam - Steve Peat is apparently fit enough to race at elite level cross country… so perhaps there is truth there.

Sorry Reggie, I’ll take that as a slap!, I listed in ascending age rather than speed!

Besides without my punture it could have been so!
