Barnoldswick? Is it a different start from the past few years?

If it didn’t start in Barnoldswick before, then yes, it’s different this year.

El Cid - many thanks for offer of lift on Sunday - much appreciated. Will be at the end of Harry’s street (as normal) at 7am.

No probs - May be 2 mins late as picking up Spectre on Denton Rd, on the way round.

Anyone heard off Earthdreamer? Does he need a lift (is he doing it?)

I may also attempt to drive round in support of `my boys` (tear in eye, lump in throat) with Cacophony No 3 for Company. May even bring Cacophony the Canine!

Yes it was 104.5 at the finsih, and I did a reset on the start line so doesn’t include the car park to sports centre bit!

Results are at http://www.raceahead.net/SearchResults.aspx

Looks like 213 entries with 194 finishers for the 160km route. With El Cid, Spectre, Brett and me all finishing in the top 50% - to be expected for the others, but hoorah for me! I wonder how Gizzajob is feeling this morning?

Gizzajob is probably feeling about 49th in the slow lot!

My cold has deterioated further despite taking it easy on the ride. I’d also forgotten I was out last night for a meeting in which meant some more beers. Can’t quite remember what I did between getting dropped off by El Cid and going out again at 8. I think it was mostly sleep.

Still, a very enjoyable afternoon, probably the best Sportive I (never) completed - I may adopt this approach for all future events.
