Stay positive Cacophony… flying nowhere at speed is possibly more beneficial than just fluttering about all over the place which is what I’m doing! Mark, sorry I’ve still not caught up with you since the White Rose. Might not be for another week or so because I’m off for a short holiday at the end of this week and I’m struggling to clear the decks.

Have a lovely holiday Earthdreamer and please do not worry about white rose..

Chin up Cacophony, where is the stiff upper lip!!! I have no handicap and I have been on my bike twice in the last 4 weeks due to work comitments...all is about to change....by next year i could be flying....(nowhere).

When will you be able to get back cycling Cacophany? I hear from Gizza Job, that not many people are coming out in the morning?

I hope to start doing some light loading on the wrist after next Tuesdays Xray (Radiology for Roentgen). Then if given the go ahead will attempt a very steady ride somewhere nearby! Trouble is the fucker is still very sore!

Ilkley Cycling Club is rearing its ugly head again. Are still up for it?

Glad to hear Cacophany, it sounds like you are on the mend!

I had a lovely cycle this morning and bumped into El Cid who had set off late..

Count me in for the Ilkley Cycling club...not bothered about any formalities and am quite content about it being a loose band of cyclists.

As for the jersey, can i suggest dropping the Blue colour and either keeping it black and white (ok Rapha tops do look good!) or throw in red as its more striking than blue.

Cacophany, I will be out tomorrow morning if you want a gentle cycle

Yes, definitely up for getting involved with creating (or resurrecting) ICC. I’m really looking forward to donning team colours for our local events. Is that shirt based on the original ICC?

PS Cacophony, I’m not sure you should be tempted by Mark’s offer for tomorrow. Steady away a bit yet I’d say!

9 riders this morning , on a showery but mild day. Good, hilly ride.

Apologies to Rollin’Home. There was a bit of a blast to Grassington from the top of Skyreholme where the peloton fragmented a bit. When we regrouped at Cracoe, Mark informed the rest of us of your puncture.
Its nice to wait for mechanicals and punctures to make sure everybody is OK - so sorry about that - hope you got sorted and away OK.

Pleased to report that the inner tube was replaced successfully and I was on my way relatively quickly.

In fact I saw the peleton in the distance climbing away from Burnsall (as I was cycling on the opposite Hebden-Burnsall back road) -and gave chase,(in vain)

gave chase again,

and then gave chase some more.

Like a proverbial carrot it kept tantalisingly reappearing on the horizon.

My pleas for the buggers to slow down went unanswered (too focussed and too far ahead!) but I eventually caught a JD attired cyclist around ilkley golf club with the rest of the group just ahead.

So got back AOK

A good ride out all the same.

Cacophony,

you seem to be slacking on the ride schedule!!!

I think you might be spending too much time on the turbo trainer

I am on holiday this week but will be out tomorrow morning for extended ride up to Burnsall, see you all at 6:30
