Nah sorry, the supplier we use for Shimano gear doesn’t do any biopace lines at all. Come to think of it, we actually haven’t seen any of that gear around in a couple of years.

One of my old bikes has Deore biopace chainrings and I hate the cadence, I’ve never measured the pcd but is it likely that “normal” chainrings will fit?

At a guess I’d say probably not. From what I read the biopace stuff also had some derailleur issues. Basically not a great investment.

Ah well.. if I decide to refurb it I’ll replace the drivetrain. Lets be blunt, they were awful to ride grin) It made me feel like my legs were changing length. Of course they were new and “must have” once and were guaranteed to knock seconds off ....

Reet just had a word with John, apparently the normal chainrings are compatible so you might be in luck there bud. If you want a bit more info feel free to give the mechanics upstairs a ring.. they’ll sort you out. (No.01943 816 101)
