Just returned to mountain biking after a few years, used to ride 10 mile tt’s for training and off road for fun, now just getting back off road till i get my fitness levels back up, i ride a gt aggressor 2 which i have build myself, with RST forks, Halo Combat wheels, Sunrace Chainset, Club roost bars, Dmr V8 pedels and Dmr Moto Tyres. Shimano Deore, rapid fire shifters and mechs and Deore cable disks.

Looking for new rides in and around the kettering area and hopeing to make a comeback tour of the Cannock Chase trails either later this year or ealy next.

Well thats a bit about me. hope to speak to you all soon.

Hi, my names Chris and I ride a Kona Kickapu whenever I get chance.

I’ve been writing a few poems recently but I was just wondering if i could get the communities view on a couple of them.

Cheers!!

They tried to ride

Adrenalin junkies, social scum,
The boys where often called,
By the passers by in the town,
That looked somewhat appalled,

They rode their bikes down the streets,
There was nowhere else to go,
And when they tried to ride in the park,
The people just said no,

The public there just moved them on,
Wherever they chose to ride,
And when they asked “where do we go”?
The people said “back inside”

Confined to home, but at least out of sight,
The public just didn’t care,
There was nothing the boys could do,
And that’s why they fell into despair,

At least they weren’t doing drugs,
Drinking or starting fights,
There’s worse things they could be doing,
With their mornings, days and nights,

All they wanted to do was ride
But that just cause them grief
The public’s attitude in this fair town
Was far beyond belief

With their sport on a social ban
They quickly became bored
And sampled other entertainment
In attempt to please the horde

But the world still looked down its nose
No matter how hard they tried
So they gave up trying to please the crowd
And decided… “Lets just ride”

The long way home

I’m not looking for directions
I’m trying to get a little lost
Down the paths and through the trees
By the rivers that I’ve crossed
There was a simple route available
But I didn’t want to know
There’s so much more to be seen
When you don’t know where to go

I’m not carelessly procrastinating
So please don’t think me lazy
I’m just enjoying the long way home
But you probably think that’s crazy
Because we live in a world where people rush
Where time is nothing but money
But in truth I see that as a waste
Yes I really do think it’s funny

So I enjoy not knowing my direction
Or where I’m meant to roam
Or where the trail will lead me
When I ride the long way home
