With winter firmly set in and limited daylight hours left, we are now forced to ride in the dark – which lets admit is a great thing indeed!
The Exposure Diablo light is designed for helmet use (using a bike light on your helmet is good because wherever your head moves, so does the light beam). The Diablo is just 110g and 110mm long – it’s compact size makes it a superb and versatile little light for both helmet and handlebar use.
It pushes out 900 lumens and on maximum burn lasts for around an hour and 15 minutes. If you need more battery life, then you can strap on an additional battery pack, and these cost £40.
The light beam is good for a small light, it seems to spot a little, but as most people will use this as an additional light, the spot beam works well at creating a shadow so you can see the trail more clearly.
If you turn the light down onto it’s lowest setting, it should last you for around 3 hours – so would make a good commuting light.
